There truly are no limits to the success the RMA martial
artists can achieve and the proof was in their latest competition. Six
students from RMA Karate Centres participated in the No Limits International
tournament in Oakville on June 6th with all of them having improved
skills and results.
Black belt Sale Berube won one gold and four bronze medals
in the 12 and under divisions. Brown belt Shamus Berube won one gold and
two silver medals in the Men’s 35 years and over divisions.
Brown belt Sam Stubbs won one silver and two bronze medals
in the boys’ 11/12 years division. Purple belt Jacob Allen won two silver
medals and was a finalist in the boys’ 13/14 years division. Purple Belt
Wesley Wu gave a strong performance in the boys’ 9/10 years division finishing
as a finalist in his divisions.
Blue belt Alyson Caron gave her best performance yet in the
girls’ 9/10 divisions winning two gold medals and a finalist placement.
Caron went on to compete in the grand champion divisions for her gold medal
divisions and placed third among several experienced competitors.
The athletes continue to train in their regular karate
classes and extra competition classes to ready themselves for their next event.
