A successful
world champion kickboxer in Barrie is hoping to get more people fighting fit
when she holds a free open event. The
RMA Karate Centres south Barrie location is holding a FREE open class this Monday
March 9th where any fitness level 13 years and up can take part in
the kickboxing class.
The event is
taking place at the RMA Karate Centres 570 Bryne Drive at 7pm.
World
champion kickboxer Tressa Young said: "I want people to come along and
learn what the kickboxing class is all about.
I am a world and national champion in the sport of kickboxing teaching at
the two RMA Karate Centres clubs here in Barrie.”
She added: "There are multiple benefits from doing
kickboxing. There is the health, fitness and also the social side of things. The class is perfect for all fitness levels from
beginner to advance.”
RMA Karate
Centres has been running for the past ten years, five of which Tressa Young has
been a full time instructor in the kickboxing, fitness, extreme and karate
programs.
Young mentioned
the open event is a chance for people to learn more about the sport of
kickboxing free of charge. And all
Monday night participants will be receiving a month-by-month special fee of
only $15 allowing them to get fit without breaking the bank.
